We are excited to announce that EVPORT is now member of the Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA). This strategic partnership signals an important milestone for both EVPORT and TIA in their shared commitment to fostering sustainable tourism, while preserving and enhancing the mana of Aotearoa New Zealand for residents and visitors alike.
Joining TIA, New Zealand’s only independent association that represents all sectors of New Zealand’s large and diverse tourism industry, signifies EVPORT’s deepening commitment to supporting the tourism sector with robust, reliable and efficient EV charging infrastructure. Through this partnership, EVPORT aims to facilitate a seamless transition towards a more sustainable tourism industry, underscoring the vision of a greener, cleaner New Zealand.
As part of this collaboration, EVPORT is actively seeking partnerships with location providers (Tourist sites, Hotels & Motels, Air BnBs etc.) across the country. The goal is to accelerate the roll-out of EV charging infrastructure within the tourism sector. By doing so, EVPORT and TIA aim to ease the adoption of electric vehicles for both domestic and international tourists, ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the tourism industry.
